The free 0.2 beta brings Claude Code keypad answers and approvals, larger focus rows, state-based grid ordering, hub gestures, tool-kind motion, four keypad themes, each with v1 and v2, Codex and ZCode support, and Adapter API v1.
New
- Multiple agent support: Support for OpenAI Codex and ZCode sessions alongside Claude Code.
- Keypad permission approval: Approve or deny Claude Code and ZCode permission requests directly from keypad keys (opt-in). Codex approval stays in Codex; keypad approval is unavailable.
- ZCode keypad approvals: Opt-in and off by default. Orbtile adds one hook and removes it when disabled; applies to new conversations in local workspaces.
- Answer questions on the keypad: Claude Code questions show numbered options on keys 1, 2, 3 and 7. Pick one, or toggle several for multiSelect, then hold Send for 0.6 seconds. Multi-question answers send together. The question always stays on screen, and the first answer wins (opt-in, with keypad approval).
- Subagents view in focus mode: Inspect live tools, commands, and status for each subagent on dedicated keys.
- Open Adapter API v1: Stable Unix-socket API with tested reference adapters for connecting custom agents.
- Per-agent colours & hue ring: Customise base colours for each agent with an interactive hue wheel in Settings.
- Per-key agent glyphs: Distinct letter badges on each key for colour-blind accessibility.
- Single alarm colour option: Unify all attention and waiting states across agents to one alarm colour.
- Locked-Mac display modes: Keypad tiles can stay live while the Mac is locked or the display sleeps.
- Focus mode browsing: Navigate between active sessions in focus mode using the keypad page buttons.
- Keypad themes: Frosted glow, Globules, Point cloud and Riso, each with v1 and v2 buttons in Settings > Appearance.
- Tool-kind motion: Distinct motion for shell, edit, read, web, delegate, plan, integration and other tools, across Frosted glow, Globules and Point cloud.
- Grid hub gestures: Tap key 9 to focus the first waiting session across all pages; hold it for 0.6 seconds to open the Mac overlay. With none waiting, a tap leaves the grid as it is.
Improved
- State-based grid order: Waiting, working, recent finishes, then idle. Keys hold their place for 8 seconds between ordinary moves; a new wait can move ahead after the 1.5-second press freeze. Orbs glide when keys move.
- Reordering preferences: Keep order within state tiers or let clearly busier working sessions pass; adjust the recency window for idle sessions.
- Focus mode layout: Agents move to key 2. Larger text reads across keys 4–5–6 and the top two lines of 7–8–9, then settles above the bottom-row orb when streaming stops.
- Key text legibility: Larger font sizes across all keys with continuous smooth ticker scrolling and longer text dwell times.
- Safer agent hooks: Local Unix-domain socket communication replaces localhost TCP.
- Integration auto-upgrade: Installed agent hooks automatically upgrade on application launch.
- Subagent persistence: Subagent tracking data and counts survive application restarts.
- No macOS notifications: Alerts stay with your agent apps, so nothing is shown twice.
Fixed
- Codex identity: Codex runs, including
codex execlaunched by another agent, always appear as Codex. - Globules loop: Removed the visible loop reset in the Globules animation.
- Page boundaries: Page buttons stop at the first and last page or session instead of wrapping around.
- Remote hook isolation: Prevented remote Codex hooks from interfering with local threads.
- Turn completion timing: Resolved out-of-order turn completion handling for Codex sessions.
- Plugin status display: Accurately detect and display legacy plugin status in Settings.
- Live hue updates: Changes to agent hue in Settings update the keypad immediately without restarting.
- Settings performance: Avoided interface stutter by rounding adapter activity timestamps to whole seconds.
- Press mapping during travel: Keypad presses during orb travel transitions reliably register to the correct session.
Known limits
- Not notarized yet; requires right-click Open on first launch.
- Codex questions are read-only on the keypad; approve permissions in Codex. Typed ("Other") answers are given on screen.
- Stopped agents can keep the subagent count high for up to 30 minutes.
