Knowing which session needs you is half the job. The other half is getting there. With six terminal tabs and two agent apps open, "switch to it" can mean a minute of hunting. On Orbtile, it's one tap.
One tap, the exact session
A short press on a session's key, under 0.6 seconds, opens that session in its own app or terminal window. On a Mac, Orbtile goes further than bringing the app forward:
- Terminal and iTerm2: the tap opens the session's exact tab. macOS asks once for permission for Orbtile to control that app.
- cmux: the tap switches to the right workspace and opens the session's exact panel, including sessions that started before Orbtile.
- ZCode: the tap selects the session's exact task, once Orbtile has Accessibility access. Without it, the tap just opens ZCode.
- Antigravity: the tap opens that conversation in the Antigravity desktop app.
On Orbtile Mobile, a tap on a tile does the same on your computer: the session's window comes to the front, so the phone works as a remote for your screen.
Tap or hold
A tap moves you; a hold shows you. Holding a key for 0.6 seconds or longer opens focus view across all nine keys instead: the session's latest text, its helpers, and any request waiting for you.
Choose what a tap does
Not everyone wants a tap to switch windows. In Settings > Keypad, a tap can:
- open the session (the default),
- mark it as read, or
- do nothing.
And key 9, the hub, has its own tap: it jumps to the first session waiting for you, on any page.
If you run several Claude Code sessions side by side, Run several Claude Code sessions at once and know which one needs you puts the tap together with the rest of the setup.
