About the macOS security prompt

Orbtile is not yet signed with an Apple Developer ID or notarized by Apple. Notarization comes when the Apple developer account is ready, and your licence carries over. Until then macOS will say it "cannot verify the developer". To open it the first time:

  1. Move Orbtile to Applications and open it once. macOS blocks it.
  2. Option A (Finder): Right-click (or Control-click) Orbtile in Applications and choose Open, then click Open in the confirmation dialog.
  3. Option B (System Settings): Open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, and click Open Anyway next to the Orbtile message. Confirm with your password or Touch ID.
  4. Option C (Terminal alternative): Run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Orbtile.app in Terminal to clear the Gatekeeper quarantine flag.

You only do this once. The build's SHA-256 checksum is listed below, so you can check that the file you downloaded is ours.

Install

Drag to Applications

Open the disk image and drag Orbtile into your Applications folder. Open it once, as described above.

Find it in the menu bar

Orbtile has no Dock icon. It lives in the menu bar as a small key grid; the centre turns terracotta when a session needs you.

Follow the setup

Orbtile finds the keypad, installs its Claude Code plugin with your OK, and asks before it takes the keypad over. Logi Options+ stays installed; switch back any time.
